2 Trip to Italy

The trip was well organized, however I wish there was more time to enjoy the culture around me. I felt like I was rushing from place to place. The travel guide also got lost at least once a day while showing us around each city. We ended up walking at least one or two miles in the wrong direction and
had to turn around. The tour guide did not seem to know much about the art and culture of Italy. The lack of choice in our meals was also disappointing and the food was not very good. Overall, the trip was good, but would have been better without a tour group and guide.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this trip to a friend.

1 excellent tour guides

The tour guides in each city were excellent and my students and I learned more than I could have imagined from them. While visiting museums, our city guides spoke in a normal voice through a microphone that was synchronized with individual ear pieces. This allowed us to look instead of reading, allowed students to hear when walking around to look at paintings and sculptures, kept them engaged, and provided volumes of information at each site even when we were in big crowds of other tourists. The city guides and our tour guide were all experts, and provide an engaging and highly educational experience. This trip was the highlight tour of my teaching career.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this trip to a friend.
